General Terms & Conditions

1) If we cannot adequately shoot the property once we arrive due to reasons beyond our control, refer to our listing preparation guide located at the bottom of the terms and conditions page, you will be charged 50% of the shoot in addition to the cost of re-shooting your listing at a later date.

Please review the listing preparation guide and make certain arrangements have been made for access to the property prior to scheduling a shoot.

2) It is the Realtor and/or homeowner's responsibility to have the home in photo ready condition prior to us arriving. We may make minor adjustments to improve the shot, but we will not move furniture or make significant changes, clean the home, etc.  

Be sure to read the listing preparation guide supplied several days prior to your shoot to make sure you are ready to capture the best photos possible.

3) If for any reason, you are unable to keep your scheduled appointment, please give 48 hours notice so we can reschedule you at a more appropriate time and open your time slot to others.  

Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice will incur a $50 cancellation fee.

4) Please make any special requests known to us before the shoot begins, including specific shots, angles and the like.  Otherwise, we will shoot the home based on experience, the home's condition, lighting and other factors to get the best possible shots.

5) Turnaround time is 48 hours.  Although you may get your photos back in less time, we cannot guarantee it.  If you have a situation that requires a quicker turnaround time, please inquire about options for express service at an additional fee.

6) If you are a new client to Coastal Imagery, we will need full payment prior to the photographs being released. Please check our references and our photo gallery on this website if you have any concerns about this. This policy is to safeguard all the hard work put into the photos.

7) Rights: Under current copyright laws, ownership of all photos belongs entirely to Coastal Imagery. Coastal Imagery retains all rights to photos taken of properties unless otherwise agreed upon in writing, and only licenses the use of the images to the Listing Agent (“CLIENT”) of the property for marketing purposes while the listing is active (up to one year). Any usage of the images by a third party, including but not limited to, architects, builders, stagers, designers, sellers or buyers, is strictly prohibited unless approved in writing by Coastal Imagery.

Weather Policy

In the event of unfavorable weather on the day of your shoot, you may opt to reschedule for our next available opening.

You may also opt to proceed with the shoot as originally scheduled regardless of weather conditions.  In this case, please understand that your photos will reflect the weather conditions at the time of the shoot - clouds, rain, etc.  Packages do not include digital processing to correct for unfavorable weather conditions (clouds, rain,etc) when and if those corrections are possible.  Opting for this also voids our guarantee.

In some severe weather conditions, we cannot risk damage to the camera equipment and will not be able to shoot regardless.  In those instances, your shoot may be rescheduled for our next available opening.

​Guarantee Policy

If you receive images from us that do not meet the scope of the project we discussed due to the fault of Coastal Imagery, we will work with you to determine why and fix the issue.

We stand behind the quality of our work. You can rest assured that our photos will be of the highest quality possible if all preparation guidelines and weather conditions are met.​ 

We cannot stress enough that the guarantee does not apply to things outside of the control of Coastal Imagery such as, but not limited to, home decor and furnishings, weather, and the condition of the home (a home that is not photo ready).  We also cannot guarantee that our photos will sell the home.  There are a multitude of factors that go into the successful sale of a home, many of which are beyond the control of Coastal Imagery.

If you chose to have photos taken in inclement weather, this guarantee does not apply.  Please review the weather policy.
